Years ago when the earth was still young and the wilds where still over flowed with exotic and new life the heavens where peaceful and quiet. All was beautiful and two stars danced and glowed together. They enjoyed each others company and played until the early mornings. They had always promised each other that they would never be apart and that their love we last as long as they did and even longer. Their soft green and purple lights twinkled and though they where from two different gods they where like one. It was a union of the Moon and Sun and they would represent the balance of the universe.  Though over the years the earth grew older and lions ruled all... The Healani pride who vowed to serve the sun and moon had been lost in a horrid fire and thus the green star was cast down onto the earth to leave them to paradise. This crushed the purple star and its light began to fade. It had then stayed close to the moon and in the night watched over her little sun drop, who went on to be known as Hokulani. Her mother saw the fallen tears and the fading light of her daughter and thrusted her upon the world like a brilliant shooting star. 

Poli'ahu had appeared and found her way back to her beloved sun drop... But she was two late. She was with a mortal name Kiaholo and they had cubs and this deepened her hurt. Hoku had found her one night up by the Moon alter speaking to her mother and about the pain that she had for her beloved star was no longer hers. Begging her to allow her back into the stars where she belong. Hoku has surprised her and comforted her little moon dust insuring her love was not lost and that they would still be together. As they where mortal and would one day rejoin the stars together. This is the night they renewed their bond and vow, letting the other know they would never stray from the other no matter what. Though she was Kai's for now, it was only for a short while and that Hoku's heart was large enough to love the both of them. Out of this bond would come a litter of cubs and these cubs we be kept a secret till they where old enough to take their place as muses in the pride. Giving inspiration and hope to all of those around them that love would always be strong and that the balance of the universe was at peace. After that night Ahu longed for Hoku any moment she could have with her was a treasure. She often stays away and care for the cubs in the depth of the forest until she can bring them home where they truly belong. She knows one day her and Hoku would be together and she would not have to share her with any other lion.
