Keo's name was not alwasy Keola. Her original name now escapes her and she dose not remember what her birth mother once called her. She was saved at a very small age by a strong lioness who took down a crocodile in order to protect her. All she can really recall about her old pride is that they where like gypsies. They traveled place to place with no real home in search for good and trading services to other pride. She can hardly recall that dangerous day. But she can say that her mother did not trust leaving her alone with the pride her mother was helping at the time and that they needed the crocodile for its sharp teeth and scales. Her mother had agreed to take the job in order to help with getting food for her pride and shelter for the night. Her mother had brought her along and hand hid her in a bush near the waters edge and with the others in her pride went to kill the croc. Next thing she knows things had gone bad and her pride had ran off forgetting about her and her mother was no where to be found except for the tuffs of grey hair scattered about. Keo had wondered into the water in search of her mother. Only to be chased onto an island b the croc and by mer chance escaping.
