The Origin of Shirley
Shirley has came from a long time of proud deer mayors of CherryBay! She is actually the ninth generation of her family to take on the title. Though this sounds more like a line of royalty then Mayorship she won fair and square.... well no one else really ran against her campaign back in 2019. See she took on the roll of Mayor when her Granny Fuana died back in 2017 and as her Vice-Mayor she finished out her term until the 2019 elections could be held and that is when she ran for herself! This is her first Official term as Mayor and if has been a great first year so far!
Shirley's Personality
Shirley is a peppy mayor and she loves to look on the bright side of things. She enjoys keeping up the flowers of the town like her granny did and also host the annual cherry picking contest! The person who picks the perfect cherry is the winner and gets a prize by made by her! She is also very lively and always has a pep in her step and enjoys listening to music rather is gardening or cleaning. She also is a romantic and loves to pair others up, though she tends to have a hard time finding someone for herself she had an eye for matching others!
Shirley's Daily Routine
Shirley's Routine tends to start off with a morning cup of tea! Now her tea changes due to the season but it has to come first. Though she may be the peppiest Mayor around she can have an issue waking up some time and tea sure hits the spot! Then she goes out and waters the flowers around town and makes sure to pull what ever weeds she happens to spot. Once to town hall she checks on the reports and the towns moral. She makes house calls to who ever had complaints or needs help and then its of to lunch! She normally can be spotted at the coffee shot with a hot coco in hand and a yummy treat from the bakery! She will sit and talk to the person who runs it or who ever happens to want to join her that day! If she had all her Mayor duties done for the day

after lunch she will most likely be found either reading a book under one of the many cherry trees in CherryBay or down on the beach! She loves to collect sea shells and splash in the ocean when summer is in. Then off to bed so she can do it all over again!

10 am - Mayor Duties in town hall
12:30 - lunch
2 - Beach, reading, shell collecting and more!

Meeting Randa
Shirley strongly recalls the first time in which she meet Randa. Her and Randa being a solid 7 years apart in age always left a bit of a gap between then when Randa first moved into town with her family. At the time her Granny was Mayor and she very much believed that as mayor you should meet all the new people that moved into CherryBay. It was the hospitable thing to do after all. Shirley, aspiring to be mayor, would follow her around.
